Science Symposium Abstract

One project I would like to help create is an ongoing series of scientific symposia. These gatherings would combine two distinct formats. There would be a series of meetings expressly for the scientists to meet among themselves, but in addition the scientists would participate in interdisciplinary meetings centered on topics with wide ranging appeal. The interdisciplinary meetings will provide the non-scientist access to the scientist’s way of seeing the world, while exposing the scientists to stimulating creative input. The purely scientific meetings will allow to scientists to immediately benefit from any creative inspiration through discussions with their peers, as well as providing an additional incentive to bring them together. Because the interdisciplinary meetings focus on the interplay between scientists and non-scientists, the resulting articles and documentaries will be accessible to a wide audience. The scientific meetings will lead to scientific publication and recognition of the symposia as a resource for scientific advancement.
